Is it too soon for Happy Halloween?

 In Cards, Tutorials, Videos

Is it too early to say ‘Happy Halloween!’ Not considering I’m five years late sending out any cards to any one! I’ve imagined in my mind for years that one day I’d be organized enough to send out Thanksgiving, Halloween and some just plain old enjoy the sweater weather-type cards. Sometimes I can get Christmas cards done, but usually not.  Well this IS the year!!!!  I’m vowing to make a card a week until Christmas, in hopes that I’ll have a stockpile by the time the holidays are here. I started with a video tutorial

I made 3 of these Halloween cards because I loved it so much.

When I saw the Circle Loops Die from Simon Says Stamp released as part of Stamptember, I thought it would make the prettiest embellishments.  Once I cut it out, I saw the pumpkin. It’s not just me right?  I cut out two, overlapped them…and a pumpkin was born.  I stitched the top with gold metallic thread using some facing stitches on my Janome sewing machine. A good excuse to use all the fancy stitches it has.

Kind of looks like Cinderella’s carriage! I think this Circle Loop Die could also make a great snowman, just stack them up! Yay, another card idea.

So I’m vowing here and now in front of you all, to make a card a week until Christmas, so my stash will be full.  All the ones in my card gallery are looooong gone! Wish me luck! Or better yet, come over and help!
