Kids Pyjamas

 In Sewing

Could homemade pajamas be any cuter. Melly Sews has the best kids pyjama pattern.

The only good thing about winter lasting so long this year is it’s given me a much needed extension on finishing the kids pyjamas.  If you’re a confident beginner, you can totally make these too.I used the Lazy Days Pyjamas pattern by Blank Slate Patterns. It was worth the nominal fee, as I’ve used it for pants/shorts and sleeves for other projects.  All the pj’s were finished with long sleeves.  It’s downloadable.

This great flannel panda pattern with purple ric rac made for the perfect Pj’s, using the Melly Sews pattern.

These would make great summer pyjama’s too, modified with shorts and short sleeves. (I’d better start now or it will be winter again) All 3, took about 1.5 yards -1.75 yards of fabric.

First was a Cat in the Hat (cotton print). Trimmed in red with blue buttons.

The Dr. Seuss Fabric trimmed in red made for another awesome pair of Melly Sews pj’s, this time for boys.

Then a flannel panda print with purple rick rac as trim.

Flannel panda fabric and purple ric rac on the sleeves. So cute.

For the little Dora lover. Flannel Dora pj’s, with pink ribbon and pink buttons. Another way to go with the Melly Sews pattern.

And finally…for the little Dora lover…Blue flannel Dora the Explorer, trimmed with pink ribbon.

Kids flannel Dora pj’s. The Melly Sews Pattern is just the best.

They LOVE them!

                 They love these homemade pyjamas.

I best get started on some summer pairs before it’s winter again…look what just arrived!

A big box of fabric just arrived!! What should I make next?
